About

Ana was born in Lisbon, Portugal where she grew up. After graduating in Economics, she embarked in a career in marketing that took her to Lausanne, in Switzerland and then to Paris, in France.

Her fascination for jewelry started in her early years, while browsing through her mother's jewelry. There was a particular piece that amazed Ana and made her believe in the sentimental value that jewelry has: a gold necklace 60" long that was in her family for more than 300 years, passed through mother to the eldest daughter. 

In 2005, Ana decided to change her life and follow her passion for jewelry seriously. While in Paris she decided to start creating her own jewels. To develop her skills she trained for two years at the "École du Louvre (BJO Formation) " where she learnt to handcraft jewelry in the traditional European way.

Inspired by vibrant colors and traditional Portuguese jewelry, Ana's designs bring together her appreciation of the timeless classic with the modern lines.  Ana is often inspired by romantic and medieval motifs that she combines with bright and colorful gemstones that she carefully picks for each design.

Ana believes that each piece of jewelry has an emotional feeling associated with it, starting at the bench where each piece is carefully handcrafted and over the years as it is transmitted through generations.

Ana moved again and she currently lives and works in Santa Monica, California, where the sun shines the whole year.
